Some shots from a product shoot I’ve been working on this summer for the fabulous and talented Brenda Watts and Cattails Woodwork right here on PEI. Check out just some of her beautiful wooden kitchen wares, turnings, small furnishings and home décor pieces. She is very much like me, living in rural PEI, with her little workshop studio, a Labrador Retriever gal, just steps from the old farmhouse. Love it. We had constant visitors all summer and when they saw her stuff in my studio everyone wanted to buy it. I was beating them off with a stick, well okay, with a rolling pin. A huge shout out to Chef Jeff McCourt and Glasgow Glen Farm for the delicious artisan gouda cheeses used in the shots. Phenomenal! Visit the Cattails Woodwork Esty Shop. More photos are on the way!
Cattails Woodwork: Beautiful figured wood, soft to the touch, made to be used.
A little peek behind the scenes
No matter how organized or how much of a neat freak I am, photography is messy. Like a bomb went off in the studio. Set-up and clean-up takes up a lot of time. So when you look at the photos, you may not realize how much time and effort goes into them and that the studio is a huge mess of products, food, props and gear. Cracks me up when I’m done and realize at the mess I’ve made.
