So I think it’s fairly obvious that I have a dream job and love what I do, but when this traditional-music-loving out-of-practice-fiddler gets to hang out with JJ Chaisson and his awesome posse partying it up on his fishing boat, I have to say it doesn’t get much better than that. We went out on JJ’s fishing boat Chaisson A Dream up in beautiful Souris, PEI last Friday evening. I have to mention his very talented brother Koady Chaisson on guitar, who I’ve seen play banjo and is awesome to photograph. The Chaissons are pretty much everywhere when it comes to music on PEI.
JJ will be introducing this brand new, unlike-any-other, PEI Experience next summer. The Fiddling Fisherman will offer fishing boat ceilidhs surrounded by the sea, red cliffs, great music, step dancing, set dancing, yummy eats, and the best people you’ll ever meet. Get to know PEI music and fishing culture and see why this is more than something we love, it’s who we are. And now you get to experience it up close and personal.

A little peek behind the scenes
Here’s Brad L’Esperence with his very cool drone camera doing areal photography during our shoot. I had to keep telling everyone to stop looking up at the drone! It was really cool and captivating. Quite hilarious actually. Brad was awesome. Check out Brad L’Esperence Photography.

Me and “the cutest man on PEI” JJ Chaisson, after our photo shoot onboard Chaisson A Dream. I saw JJ perform with Natalie MacMaster this summer and she introduced him as “the cutest man on PEI”. So funny. I had no idea I’d soon get to meet him and party with him on his boat! LOL
