Chef Jeff McCourt is SO cheesey. Okay no no, I’m kidding, Jeff’s a really Gouda guy. Okay… I’ll stop, but come on, it practically writes itself!
I had a great time working with Chef Jeff McCourt photographing his artisan Gouda cheeses. I love food photography. I don’t know exactly where my passion for it comes from, but I just love styling and photographing food. So getting to work with a great chef like Jeff McCourt was awesome! Jeff has always had a love of cheese, and I have to say that to see him in the kitchen, the way he talks about it, works with it, and all the love he puts into it is incredible. His face just lights up when he’s talking cheese and sharing his love of it with you. It was wonderful. I totally get having passion for what you do, so me doing what I love, and Jeff doing what he loves, made for a completely wonderful experience.
Jeff made all kinds of dishes for the shoot and everything was so delicious. After eating the pizza he made using his new Pizza Gouda, I’m hooked. You really have to try it. Even my super-picky-eater-kids had it for dinner and loved it. Jeff also made a fantastic grilled cheese sandwich using his Red Chili Pepper Gouda with bacon on artisan bread and it was unbelievably delicious. I mean seriously, how can I get this excited about a grilled cheese sandwich? You just have to try it to believe it. Incredible! And there was delicious French Onion Soup, wine, beer and more cheese, cheese, cheese!
Check out Jeff’s Glasgow Glen Farm. I love what he’s doing. It’s all very exciting and I’m so happy to be part of it. (Particularly the eating part. ha)

Great shots, Heather. Nice farmy barn-door-style backdrop. Love seeing the behind the scenes too. A nice reminder that a lot of work goes into this stuff!
Thanks Laura-Jane. And a lot of love goes into it too! ;)
