A Day on a Clamming Boat

Published March 29, 2017 by Heather Ogg in Editorial/Documentary

Here are some shots from my grand day out on a clamming boat shooting for Annand Clams. It was a chilly, overcast day out on the water. But I love being out in the field, meeting people and learning about what they do. All these fishers and farmers I get to meet work so bloody hard and take a lot of pride in what they do.

My hope is that in seeing how much work goes into putting food on our tables we can all be a little bit more grateful about it.

I know I am humbled because I have the privilege of meeting all these great people.

So here are some shots from our shoot. Then it was back to Annand Clams’ where we were treated to some delicious deep fried clams.

Years ago someone on social media attempted to insult me by saying I was only good for photographing cows. Honey, that ain’t no insult. I still laugh at that comment every time I get hired to shoot them. Gentle, friendly and always so curious. I love them. From our shoot for @abpibeef of Certified Island Beef.
