Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival

Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival

Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival

I really, truly, love the fiddle. I grew up in a musical family and we all sing and play a bunch of instruments, but East Coast, Scottish and Irish fiddle is my true love when it comes to music. It’s more than music, it stirs my soul, it’s who I am. If you play I’m sure you’ll get exactly what I mean. So the girls and I took a drive out to one of my favourite Island events, the awesome Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival with camera in hand to get some tourism shots. I also used to play the banjo. Can you tell how much I love photographing Koady Chaisson in these photos??? He’s just so damn photogenic it’s crazy. Got some fun pics, but next year, I’ll leave the camera home and bring my fiddle. It was so much fun we didn’t want to leave.

WE ARE ALL TREATY PEOPLE.

In the spirit of Reconciliation, we acknowledge that the land upon which we gather is unceded Mi’kmaq territory. Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island), Mi’kma’ki, is covered by the historic Treaties of Peace and Friendship. We pay our respects to the Indigenous Mi’kmaq People who have occupied this Island for over 12,000 years; past, present and future.
