Last weekend I called up friend and fellow photographer Elida Arrizza to join me for a charity photo shoot at the SPCA Monteregie. We had so much fun. It was like heaven to be surrounded by this pack of beautiful dogs. Since then I am happy to report that two of these lovely pups have been adopted. I adopted my black Labrador Retriever Charlotte there in 2000 and she has been such a fabulous dog. Some of these dogs do have sad stories and need some extra consideration, but others are just regular pets whose families ran into some misfortune and sadly they had to be given up. I hope that people will see these photos and realize that shelters are overflowing with wonderful dogs and cats and consider that when looking for a pet. Great pets for great people. Thank you puppies!

Beautiful shots…their personalities just really shine through.
Your photos of these dogs are simply gorgeous, I am astounded every time I look at your photos. You are the Montreal Annie Leibovitz of the doggie photography world! I love number 6 in the dog house. Elida is the greatest photo assistant/co-photographer isn’t she?
Aww Vivian you are so nice! Thank you! And yes Elida is awesome and I have a secret plan to take with me to PEI. She did such an amazing job and is such a great friend.
